The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense said today (Tuesday) that it had intercepted an Iranian Shahid-136 drone, which was used by the Russian army in the Kharkiv region.
This is the first time that Kiev has claimed to have intercepted an aircraft of this type. Ukraine and the United States have accused Iran of supplying drones to Russia - a claim that Tehran has denied.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has released photos of what appear to be parts of the Shahid-136.
According to him, the drone was "eliminated" near Kopiansk, a city in Kharkiv province that was recently recaptured by Ukraine.
A senior US administration official said in July that Iran plans to supply Russia with hundreds of drones capable of carrying ammunition for its war in Ukraine.
Jake Sullivan, the White House's national security adviser, said the information received by Washington reinforces estimates that Russia's heavy bombing in Ukraine, which has helped it advance in the east of the country in recent weeks, is "taking a toll" on its weapons stockpiles.
"The Iranian government is preparing to supply Russia with several hundred drones, including weapons-capable drones, on an accelerated schedule," Sullivan said.
"Our information indicates that Iran is preparing to train Russian forces to use these drones, and the training is expected to begin in the coming days."
