The arrest of the well-known model who was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his partner was extended today (Wednesday) until tomorrow.

The judge of the Magistrate's Court in Tel Aviv determined that there was no significant progress in the investigation, and therefore the detention of the model, who appeared on a TV program in the past, was extended by a day - and not by five days as requested by the police.

The suspect's name has been banned from publication, in the past he has been linked to fraud, and recently he was even arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft.

"In my decision yesterday, I stated that the potential for an investigative development to collect additional testimony from others, and in particular from the complainant, must be examined," the judge stated.

"There is a reasonable suspicion of committing violent offenses against the complainant, it is a complex relationship."

The police representative at the hearing said that the complainant was afraid to testify again and even added that in addition to the last incident of violence she reported, there were other cases in which she was attacked by the suspect.

"He didn't open the door for the police and had to order a break-in," he testified.

The representative went on to say that the victim's mother called the police.

"The partner is afraid to file a complaint but there is an indication of violence against her," he said.

"There is unequivocal evidence, her testimony and signs of violence. If this is the case, there are problems with the investigating unit because he is threatening her and her family."
