The exhibition, which has become an annual tradition, is held by Deeb on the tenth of September every year in memory of her son Ibrahim on his birthday after he was kidnapped by treachery and terrorism. It varied between drawing with feathers, colors and stone carving.

In her ninth “Pop” exhibition, the artist was inspired by the forms of sculptures from man and nature, and her topics varied between the concepts of loss, injustice, disability and refraction, using the onyx stone found in the Wadi Al-Nadari region, with its unique semi-transparent aesthetic structure and its distinctive color blending.

In a statement to SANA, Deeb indicated that the idea of artistic works came to her like a flash to commemorate the pleasure of her liver, where she initially resorted to plastic artists to learn the keys to work and was acquainted with the various schools of plastic art, but soon her passion for sculpture developed and the onyx stone attracted her to obey its mass day after day.

Deeb explained that the sculptural work requires a great muscular effort, but her will, passion and determination to perpetuate the memory of her son helped her to overcome the difficulties to be born with him again every year, pointing out that she seeks, through the “Pop” exhibitions, to deliver a message that we trust our souls away from retreating and adopting customs and traditions Obsolete and not allowing circumstances to control our destiny and figuring out the way to help ourselves first.

Ruba Ain al-Shayba pointed out during her visit to the exhibition that the sculptures, despite their hardness, overflowed with feelings as if they were translating the feelings that invaded the artist's heart. Each sculpture is a mixture of sadness, joy and love.

In turn, Aziza Barhoum noticed that the exhibition carried creative inspirations, great aesthetic meanings, and flexibility that tamed the stone and broke the barrier between art and life.
