The activities of the 14th Sila International Footwear and Leather Exhibition, which is held by the Arab Federation of Leather Industries and organized by Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, will be launched at the new exhibition city in Damascus.
More than 75 local and Arab companies are participating in the exhibition, which will continue until the 18th of this month, in various disciplines represented in the manufacture of men's, women's, children's and sports shoes and their accessories, in addition to leather clothing, bags, leather and accessories.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the Secretary-General of the Arab Federation of Leather Industries, Muhammad Kazara, explained the importance of the exhibition, which attracts many businessmen visitors from Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and Egypt in promoting the products of Syrian leather industries companies and opening foreign markets for them.
In turn, the director general of the exhibition's organizing group, Khalaf Mashhadani, indicated that the exhibition is the most important in the leather industry in the region and has occupied a distinguished position since its launch in 2001 as one of the prominent events that top the table of Arab exhibitions, where manufacturers, suppliers and traders gather to open new markets, in addition to giving opportunities for foreign companies to discover Syrian and Arab market.
The exhibition opens its doors to visitors from 3 pm until 10 pm, and transportation is secured from under the bridge of the President, next to the museum.
