"It's not every day you get to raise awareness of something that's

definitely going to save lives.

That's enough motivation to let people watch you get a camera shoved up your ****," Reynolds said in the video as he entered the hospital for his colonoscopy. .

Before undergoing the procedure, Dr. Lapook, his physician, explained to Reynolds how important a colonoscopy can be.

"It's amazingly effective," said the doctor.

Postoperatively, Dr. Lapook informed Reynolds that he had found "an extremely subtle polyp."

"This

potentially saved you

," he added.

"I'm not kidding. I'm not being overly dramatic. This is exactly why it's done."

"You interrupt the natural progression of a disease, of a process that could have turned into cancer and caused all sorts of problems," Lapook said.

They really need to do this. This saves lives, pure and simple."

Reynolds shared the video on his Instagram social network page and generated dozens of comments.
