About a year after losing his wife Esther, the American Jewish spy Jonathan Pollard is expected to marry on Tuesday - this is what Vala learned today (Wednesday).
Jonathan, got engaged to his partner in recent months, Rebecca Abrahams-Donin, a mother of seven children from Jerusalem whose husband died a few years ago.
Their engagement announcement was supposed to go out during the morning, but at the couple's request it was postponed until after the funeral of Major Bar Falah, the officer who was killed this morning in Jenin.
"What shall I answer to God, all His reward is upon me," the couple wrote in their announcement of the engagement, "with praise and thanksgiving to God, we are excited to announce our engagement, we are full of gratitude to you, our friends and family members and our dear children for the love and hugs."

Later in the message, the couple said that Esther was responsible for the introduction between the two, "in her infinite love she even recognized us and allowed this miracle to happen. Her memory will never be fulfilled by us."
The wedding of the two is expected to take place in about two months.

Pollard returned to Israel with his wife Esther about two years ago, after serving decades in prison in the United States.
About a year after they immigrated to Israel, Esther contracted the corona virus, and died from a complication of the disease.
Esther's friends said of her when she died that she was an "exemplary character who stuck to her goal to no end, nothing could divert her from the sacred pursuit of Yonatan's release from prison", and that "despite the physical distance, Esther and Yonatan were one body and soul."
