School freedom: how Bercy wants to do battle with "SOS Education"

2022-09-14T18:45:47.415Z

In the sights of the taxman, the association which campaigns in particular against inclusive writing at school, or for the freedom to educate one's children at home, is under the blow of a heavy fine. Its leaders denounce an arbitrary decision.

It's the same thing as for Al Capone: when you want to bring down public enemy number 1, you launch tax proceedings!

The lawyer for SOS Éducations, Me Xavier Delsol, is convinced of this: if Bercy asks his client for a fine of more than one and a half million euros, it is to put a political opponent to death.

Would be in question, in particular, the support of SOS Education for the candidate Fillon in 2017 (alleged by the magistrates of the Court of Auditors in a very critical report on the association, of which Radio France had revealed extracts in 2020, but disputed by the current officials).

As well as, above all, regular positions taken in the debates on school: against inclusive writing, against Jean-Michel Blanquer's circular on transidentity at school, or more recently, against the drastic restriction of instruction at home (with the transition from a declaratory regime to an authorization regime).
