The investigation into psychological domestic violence targeting the CEO of the Casino distribution group, Jean-Charles Naouri, was dismissed by the Nanterre prosecutor's office because "
no offense
" was "
sufficiently characterized
", learned Wednesday, September 14 AFP from a source familiar with the matter.
This investigation, entrusted by the prosecution to the Brigade for the repression of delinquency against the person (BRDP), had been opened following the filing of a complaint in February by the wife of Mr. Naouri for acts of psychological violence.
It was dismissed on August 26, said the Nanterre prosecution, requested by AFP.
'Fancy' claims
The couple, married since 2007, have been in the process of divorce since last December and have been living apart for three years, according to the source familiar with the matter.

Jean-Charles Naouri has been the CEO of the Casino group since March 2005. Énarque, Inspector of Finance, he was Chief of Staff to Pierre Bérégovoy, at the Ministry of Social Affairs and then at the Economy and Budget, from 1982 to 1986. 73 years old, he was reappointed for three years to the board of directors of Casino, of which he is the controlling shareholder, on the occasion of the general meeting of the food distribution group last May.
