Sergey Eliseev, head of the Kherson regional government, announced today that the borders of Kherson Province are so securely protected by the Russian army that any attempts by Ukrainian forces to advance towards it will be prevented.
The Russian TASS news agency quoted Eliseev as saying that the situation in Kherson is completely stable. The Russian armed forces reliably secure the borders of the region, and we have enough forces and means to prevent any attempts by the Ukrainian side to advance towards it.
Eliseev indicated that the regional authorities are doing their best to prevent the spread of panic among the population, stressing that there is no reason to panic and that everything is fine.
The deputy head of the Kherson Provincial Administration Kirill Strimosov revealed yesterday that the losses of the Ukrainian forces in the direction of Kherson exceeded 3,500 soldiers, adding that most of these dead were people who were mobilized by the Kyiv regime by force, joined the army and threw them into the crucible of war.
And the Russian Defense Ministry announced in mid-March that Kherson was under the full control of Russian forces.
