Geretsried – At the most recent delegates' meeting in the clubhouse, CEO Mirko Naumann reported a significant increase in membership.

Two years ago, TuS Geretsried recorded numerous club exits.

Now the crisis seems to be over.

The number of members in the entire association has increased from 2,060 to 2,187 over the last year.

"Our two summer camp weeks for six to eleven year olds during the school holidays, which were fully booked within a few days, were also very well received," said Naumann happily.

Nevertheless, the TuS boss pointed out that the effects of the Corona crisis are still having an impact, especially on indoor sports.

In addition, there are bottlenecks in hall capacities and football pitches.

"We urgently need to continue to do lobbying work and tirelessly approach politics together and show the value that associations bring to social peace," Naumann appealed to the delegates.

Unfortunately, there is currently a "standstill" in terms of further development of the Isar-Loisach Stadium.

Naumann would like the neighboring old indoor pool to be demolished soon: "It occupies unused space that would very well provide space for a new soccer field."

Long-standing members and athletes of the year were honored at TuS Geretsried

Before the award of honorary pins and the award of long-standing members, Naumann bid farewell to the long-standing CFO Roswitha Wolf-Baki, who left the board on July 1st.

The crowning glory of the delegates' meeting was the awarding of honorary membership to Roswitha Wolf-Baki.

Just like Heidrun Rösing, Gerda Riess.

Peter Hüller and Gerrit Waßmann, she also received the club's Golden Badge of Honour.

Katharina Lauseker, Margot Hoffmann, Angela Lampert and Sonja Hirsch received silver badges of honor.

17-year-old track and field athlete Xaver Seelos was voted Sportsman of the Year.

In addition, Naumann presented certificates to the long-standing members Jochen Sternkopf (60 years in the club), Irmengard Gleichauf and Inge Riedl (both 50 years).

Christine Fabian, Alfons Bischof, Franz Protschka, Robert Scherer (50 years each), Annette Bollmann, Thomas Lill, Hans Rest, Manfred Stich (40 years each) as well as Christa Nowak, Christoph Reitinger, Diane Schwarz, Heidrun Schröder were happy to receive further awards , Helga Simon, Johannes Toms, Klaus Petri, Simon Lechner and Ulrike Neumeister (each 25 years old).
