Three days after the end of the voting in the general elections in Sweden and a careful counting of all the voters' votes, the Prime Minister of her social democratic government, Magdalena Andersson, admitted the defeat of the left camp and her resignation as Prime Minister.
Anderson will submit her resignation as Prime Minister to the Speaker of the Parliament in Stockholm tomorrow, but will continue to head the leadership of the Social Democratic Party, which is still the largest party in the Swedish Parliament.
Anderson's announcement came before the final election results were officially announced, and it is not yet known what majority the four center-right parties have and the exact size of their factions in the next parliament.
However, the sovereign right-wing party, the Swedish Democrats, which has apparently become the leading faction in the right-wing camp for the first time in its history, has already begun negotiations with the other right-wing parties to form the next government.
It is expected that the leader of the "Moderate" party - which until now was the main right-wing party in Sweden, Olaf Kristerson, will head the government, even though his party will be the second largest in the bloc.
The leader of the Sweden Democrats, Jimmy Axon, who is not yet clear whether his party will sit in the new government or support it from the outside, met with the heads of the other three right-wing parties, including the Liberal Party, which until now vetoed the addition of the Sweden Democrats to the ranks of the right-wing government.
