It's been quiet on stage since then.

The last major event with around 5000 visitors took place there in 2005, in 2018 there were smaller readings and concerts in the mountain forest.

The venue is currently not playable.

On Thursday evening, the members of the city council's cultural committee are to decide: "Fundamental renovation or dismantling?" is on the agenda of the public meeting.

Now the association Living Old Town Wolfratshausen (LAW) has spoken.

"It is not only an enrichment for the city of Wolfratshausen, but for our entire region."

Because it has been "used less and less" for years, the stage is decaying.

"It's sad to see how little the city of Wolfratshausen cares about our wonderful Bergwaldbühne." According to the LAW board, a colorful cultural life could awaken above the roofs of the raftsman's town, with theater performances, concerts or an open-air cinema .
