"Wanted to tap the coal": "Summer House of the Stars" couple lied to RTL ice cold

Stephen Dürr and his wife Katharina moved into the "summer house of the stars".
The 39-year-old was previously seen on "Bachelor" – although she was already with her husband.
The two simply lied to RTL.
Bocholt – In the “Summer House of the Stars” the candidate couples have been stirring up the farm in Bocholt again since September 7th.
There was some criticism from the fans beforehand, saying that there were only “No-Name-Z-Promis” in the 2022 season.
One of these couples that many may not have had on their radar before: Stephen Dürr (48) and his wife Katharina (39).
The two have been a couple for almost 20 years and have now admitted: they are willing to do a lot for fame and money.

Stephen Dürr might know fans through his roles in the telenovelas "Everything That Counts" and "Unter Uns".
As has now emerged, his wife Katharina is also no stranger to German television.
She already took part in the very first "Bachelor" season, courting Marcel Maderitsch in 2003.

However, the couple has been together for almost 20 years, as they say.
If you calculate back, you will notice: This calculation cannot work out – RTL was lied to, the lady was not single at the time.
"I didn't know what to do after high school, then there was the casting and they took me straight away.
Then I thought, 'Oh come on, I'll take this experience with me,'" says Katharina in the podcast "Summer House of the Stars".
But that's not all, because Stephen knew all about the campaign back then: "I acted like a manager," he explains.
The first "Bachelor" season 2003
Only a few probably remember the original "Bachelor" Marcel Maderitsch.
In 2003, the bank employee was looking for love among 25 women and gave his last rose to chimney sweep Juliane Ziegler.
Shortly after a love vacation, however, their relationship broke up again and he tried his luck with runner-up Nicole.

It was not until 2012 that RTL sent "Bachelor" Paul Janke into the race for a new attempt.

The reason for lying is quickly explained: "For the fame. I wanted to grab the money and go on TV, honestly," admits Katharina Dürr in the recording

At "Bachelor" she was among the last four chosen and kissed around uninhibitedly while her boyfriend watched everything in front of the television.

Now the two are together in front of the camera, but the reasons for fame and money (“summer house” prize money: 50,000 euros) are unlikely to have changed much.

The couple Eric Sindermann and Katharina Hambuechen also received some criticism from the "Summer House of the Stars" viewers.
They are "only for the show" on the show, it is said, for example, since the two only met five months before the start of the show.
