- Why participate in “Dancing with the Stars”?

Florent PEYRE.

- To learn a discipline that I know little or nothing about.

I'm used to being on stage, I love it.

I have a good body expression there, I sing, I play, but I don't dance.

So it's very interesting to have training.

Then, beyond the challenge, I love entertainment and here we are on one of the biggest entertainments on French TV.

I really like taking part in it, and we know that when you learn a discipline that you don't know, you grow out of it.

There, it's a new adventure and I know that, through meetings, training, I will know more on arrival.

I know that I will be able to reuse what I have learned in my future shows and projects.

You had danced when you were younger, right?

I did modern jazz, but that was from 7 to 14, so it was really in another life.

Subsequently, I did a sport-studies, a sports college, I did rugby, water skiing… It formed this body which is not specially adapted to dance… I have some reminiscences , but it feels more like starting from scratch.

However, isn't having a sports training an advantage during rehearsals?

In fact, I'm still more or less trained for the stage because my show is very physical.

I nevertheless doubled my training all summer to anticipate and to manage the injuries of old sportsmen, a little the back, a little the knees.

We prepare for it, but each sport has its specificity.

No matter how well we prepare, there is nothing better than practicing discipline and we realize that our body is not at all adapted to that.

After a while, we feel that he readjusts.

It's nice to see that the body has more resources than we imagine.

Do you fear one personality more than another in this competition?

Obviously, Billy Crawford, Stéphane Legar or Carla have been dancing since they were born!

It's not even worth comparing.

I find that this is what is rich in this program, it is that indeed they arrive with a background that is not ours, but "DALS" also leaves room for the candidates as well as the public and the jury will discover engaged, sympathetic.

They will see us evolve.

The concept of the show can allow for big surprises.

The public can get attached to a candidate who gives everything and who, despite being behind in dance, has made a lot of progress, has given a lot, or gives them emotions.

Have you taken advice from former candidates?

Gérémy Crédeville (candidate in 2021, NDR) makes me hallucinate because he leaves me voice memos, I feel like it's Chris Marques!

He said to me: “

yes, I saw the cast, the show is interesting this year

”.

He does analyses, the guy has become a dancer!

I told him he was crazy and he replied: “

you'll see that you too will become very technical

 ”.
