The Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform has set the dates for the olive harvest and the opening of the olive harvest for the current season in the governorates.
The ministry set the first of October as the date for the start of harvest in the governorates of Lattakia, Tartous and Homs, and on October 15 in the governorates of Hama, Aleppo, Raqqa, Daraa, Idlib and Rural Damascus, and October 20 in Quneitra and October 25 in As-Suwayda, while setting the date for the opening of the mills a week before the date of harvest in each Governorate to complete maintenance and experimentation well.
The Ministry called on farmers to observe the specifications of the ripening of fruits and not to harvest early for any reason to ensure a good yield of oil with high specifications and quality, and to conduct picking operations carefully without using a stick to preserve the safety of fruits and trees, not to mix fruits with leaves, and to supply the crop to the mill and squeeze it as soon as possible.
