Mess in the air and in airports this Friday, September 16.
Following the call for a strike by the majority union of air traffic controllers, the SNCTA (National Union of Air Traffic Controllers), the DGAC (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile) asked the airlines to give up the half of scheduled flights departing from all French airports.
Yesterday, Air France decided to cancel 55% of its short and medium-haul flights and 10% of its long-haul flights on Friday.
Today, it is the turn of Transavia, its low-cost subsidiary to announce flight cancellations.
