Chen Guoji pointed out that "carbon neutrality" is the global trend, and the central government will announce corresponding policies in 2020 in order to achieve carbon neutrality. Complement each other's advantages and build a green I&T industry chain together.

Chen Guoji said that the Hong Kong government will invest 240 billion yuan to promote low-carbon transformation and carbon reduction in the future, which will create more opportunities for investment and technological innovation for the society, and at the same time bring more than 10,000 job opportunities to the public.
He pointed out that Hong Kong and neighboring cities in the Greater Bay Area can complement each other's advantages and develop in a coordinated way, creating an innovation and technology industry chain that connects the upper, middle and lower reaches, and contributes to the country's move towards carbon neutrality.
In addition, Hong Kong proposed the "Climate Action Blueprint 2050" earlier, and will strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 through policies such as green transportation and national waste reduction, and reduce local carbon emissions to 2005 levels by 2035 half.
Jasper Jasper mentioned that COVID-19 has had an impact on the world, but reminded that although the world is pursuing post-pandemic recovery, it must not forget green development, carbon reduction and carbon neutrality.
Ms Wong Suk-han said that young people should actively participate in the forum to help Hong Kong move towards a carbon-neutral and green future, including getting rid of landfills, making good use of waste-to-material and waste-to-energy technologies, creating employment opportunities and attracting talents to Hong Kong , strengthen the local green economic recovery.
