Car accident in Kowloon Bay.
At about 0:00 in the morning today (16th), a Tesla private car was driving along the Kai Tak Tunnel towards Kwun Tong.
Just as he exited the tunnel to Kai Fook Road, he suddenly jolted an arrow car in front of him.
After the accident, the Tesla was destroyed like scrap metal, and the male driver surnamed Wei (46 years old) was trapped in the car. The fire department dispatched a collapsed search and rescue team and rescued him in about half an hour. Fortunately, he was still awake and was sent to the hospital by ambulance. ; Three other workers (aged 36 to 48) were working on site and were also injured and sent to hospital.
It is understood that there were two lanes of traffic at the scene. The tunnel was under construction at the time, and the arrow car was parked on the right lane, which was also closed at the time.

The police said that the arrow car was parked at the above site and was preparing to carry out construction at the time of the incident. When the private car involved approached, it lost control and crashed into the arrow car. One of them was a male worker surnamed Tian (36 years old) who was working beside the arrow car. , injured his foot when dodging; the other two male workers surnamed You and Xie (the same 48 years old) were working on the truck body and fell and suffered injuries to their heads, hands and feet.
As for the male driver of the private car surnamed Wei (46 years old), who did not have any superficial injuries, he was arrested on suspicion of "drinking and driving" after an on-the-spot alcohol breath test. He also reported feeling unwell.
All four were sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
