Against the background of the energy crisis, the Greens' regulars' table discussed "heating without gas and oil".
Content covered alternative energy sources and lack of support.
Münsing – he was “totally disappointed”.
In view of the "important topic" he would have "thought that the whole hall would be full and not just two tables", said Münsingen farmer Josef Strobl with a broad grin as an informative evening drew to a close.
"Heating without gas and oil" was the topic of the first Münsinger "Greens-Stammtisch" since social gatherings of this kind were canceled due to the corona pandemic.
Everything better than gas and oil: Discussion of the Münsinger Greens about alternative heating
The 14 men and women who decided to spend the cozy evening under the shady trees on the terrace of the Gasthaus Huber am See in Ambach did not have to regret coming.
Because when it comes to the topic of alternative energies, there is a lot to do in the municipality of Münsing, as became clear from the short reports on the experiences of the regulars.
Heating with logs and geothermal heat, heat pumps in combination with solar energy and photovoltaics, pretty much everything that is currently on the market was represented.
Up to the "local heating network with 29 connected houses" that farmer Strobl operates.
He would like to connect more, says Strobl.
"But I have the impression from the municipality of Münsing that we don't get much support."
The view of the whole: "We will not reach the large masses with piecemeal work"
Regulars' table moderator and local councilor Christine Mair promised to "address this in one of the next building committee meetings".
You can build a lot, Strobl added, but in his opinion it only makes sense if you think about it as a whole.
“We will not reach the large masses with piecemeal work.
That only makes sense if you pull together and everyone is involved.”
Münsing: The vision of a village heating system should be reviewed
Nikolaus Mair has the vision of a village heating system in mind: "A large heating plant on the outskirts of the village, like there are many in Austria," the organic farmer and Green district councilor gave as an example.
In addition: The district is exemplary with its own properties and, for example, secondary schools have already switched to renewable energies, Mair explained.
"I would also wish for Münsing that all properties would then be checked." This was also taken as a nudge.
"Let's take it with us," promised environmental officer Anja Ruhdorfer.
Tip for those interested: First look at the building, then the heating
Klaus Strobl had a basic tip for everyone who is seriously concerned with alternative forms of heating.
"You should always look at the building shell first and then the heating," emphasized the engineer for energy and building technology.
Because "if the heating is oversized, it will not run optimally".
Last but not least, the group of regulars touched on the topics of wind power and photovoltaics.
Anja Ruhdorfer concluded: “You always need a mix.
That's where the journey will go."
