District of Fürstenfeldbruck – The summer holidays are over and the Bavarian students have started a new school year.
The daily way to school poses a particular challenge. Safety on the way to school is therefore a high priority in the Bavarian Road Safety Program 2030 "Bayern mobil - Sicherheit ans Ziel".
At the start of school, the
police inspections
in the district carry out more checks in the vicinity of schools and kindergartens.
“ A completely new and exciting phase of life is beginning,
especially for the
first- graders.
The way to school is a new experience and they are often beginners here as well,” says Oliver Erhardt, chief inspector of police at the Fürstenfeldbruck police station.
In addition to the speed in the area of schools and kindergartens, the officials also pay particular attention to
seat belt morale
and the obligation to protect
children
.
On the occasion of the first day of school on September 13th, the Olching police were present on the streets in front of various schools.
Particular attention was also paid to the safety of children in the vehicle, but also to compliance with the adjusted speed and parking violations in front of the schools.
"Fortunately, the first day of school could be completed without incident," said
police chief Jürgen Dost
.
The main campaign for the safe way to school runs until Friday.
"The attention and consideration should be there all year round," emphasizes Dost.
To protect the most vulnerable road users, especially in front of schools and kindergartens.
