On Thursday, a Palestinian teenager was killed by Israeli forces near Jenin.
On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, an officer of the Israeli army, Major Bar Falah, was killed in an exchange of fire at a checkpoint near the same town.
Two Palestinians were killed.
One of them, Ahmed Iman Abed, was a member of the Palestinian Authority security forces.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the operation that led to their deaths.
This event adds to the growing list of Palestinian attacks and Israeli "counter-terrorism" operations in the West Bank.
The Israelis are confronted with a worrying deterioration of the situation.
According to the Israeli army, their number has already doubled in 2022 compared to 2021. For their part, the Palestinians have mourned 83 deaths since January, which would make 2022 the bloodiest year since 2015.
