Sally Hafez, a Lebanese citizen, arrived at the bank's branch in the country and managed to get about 13 thousand dollars • Social networks did not remain indifferent to the scenes that came from the bank that appeared to have been taken

The economic crisis in the land of cedars continues as the citizens become more and more desperate.

Last Wednesday, a young Lebanese woman waved a toy gun at a bank in Beirut demanding to receive deposit money in the bank to use for her sister who has cancer.

The young woman, Sally Hafez, managed to get 13 thousand dollars from the bank in addition to 30 million Lebanese pounds from the deposit money.

There was a commotion in the bank itself, but later on social media Hafez was crowned as the heroine of the day.

Later, many Lebanese came to the banks to demand in cash the funds they had deposited against the background of the economic crisis and the collapse of the currency value of the local pound.

They also expressed sympathy for Sally Hafez on social networks and described her as a hero.

Many surfers stated that the banks "only understand power".

In a Facebook post, Hafez commented on the case: "The whole country is under my house and I'm at the airport. We'll see you in Istanbul."

Another post was dedicated to her sister who has cancer.

In other posts online, she was compared to a superhero.

One of the anchors of the network in Lebanon wrote that "Sally Hafez is one of the heroes of the revolution. She participated in all the demonstrations in the government offices and politicians' houses to demand the rights of all of us. Today is the time to demand her and her sister's right to a deposit so that her cancer can be treated."

Another surfer wrote that "the real criminals are the banks and their owners. Not Sally."

Since last August, many Lebanese have been trying to get the money they deposited in banks.

In one case, a citizen held dozens of innocent hostages in a bank in West Beirut demanding to keep his deposit money.

After the economic crisis that erupted in 2019, Lebanese banks imposed restrictions on dollar deposit funds and imposed spending ceilings and many conditions for withdrawing cash.

The crisis broke out against the backdrop of many investors from the Gulf withdrawing their money from Lebanese banks.

This is in protest of Hezbollah's involvement in the civil war in Syria.
