Seems like summer in Bavaria is finally over.
According to the weather experts, extreme rainfall is imminent – and even the first snowflakes.
Munich – At the beginning of the week it will be really nice again, explains weather expert Dominik Jung.
On Monday (September 12th), Tuesday and partly on Wednesday there will be plenty of summer air in the south of Germany.
"Three summer days in a row in the south," explains Jung in the latest weather video on the YouTube channel

.
But then it gets uncomfortable – and above all wet.
Weather in Bavaria: Extreme rain and the first snowflakes
According to the expert, it gets really wet, especially in northern Bavaria around Nuremberg, Bamberg and Bayreuth.
There is talk of "40 to 70 liters of rain per square meter".
Here and there there is a risk of flooding, explains Jung.
According to the weather maps, the rain complex in Bavaria is expanding until the end of the week.

First of all, however, it is the former hurricane Danielle that is pumping warm air to Germany.
Between Monday and Wednesday the temperatures will climb again to around 25 degrees in Bavaria.
Then on Wednesday the aforementioned change in the weather: while it was still over 20 degrees warm, the continuous rain set in – and over the course of the following days it also cooled down significantly.

The prognosis is there
The German Weather Service (DWD) also writes of “partially significant heavy or continuous rain”, and severe continuous rain cannot be ruled out.
The rainy weather will also last for the DWD experts in Bavaria until the weekend.
