When the Holzkirchners vote on their bypass roads on November 20th, they will also decide on matters relating to Warngau.

The local council there wants to speak before the vote.

Warngau/Holzkirchen

– Whatever the decision, November 20, 2022 should be a memorable day in the northern district.

Then the Holzkirchner voters in the referendum on two bypasses: a southern bypass of Holzkirchen and a western bypass of Großhartpenning, which the Rosenheim State Building Authority has identified as potential corridors.

The Holzkirchner citizens also vote on Warngau issues: Because a Holzkirchner southern bypass would involve a four-lane expansion of the B 318 south of the already expanded area, the residents of the Warngau district of Lochham would also be affected.

In October, the Warngau municipal council wants to deal with how it can intervene with an opinion.

Warngau is worried about getting under the wheels

As is well known, Warngau has been watching the discussions and planning in the neighboring community with eagle eyes for a long time.

Because the corridors in which the state building authority was looking for possible cross-connections between B 13 and B 318 and thus a Holzkirchner Südspange, sometimes ran not only through Holzkirchner, but also through Warngauer corridor or would have put the district of Lochham through the wringer.

In 2010, the people of Warngau even put forward an alternative proposal with a green bridge directly on the Holzkirchner Kogel.

In view of the two council requests that the Holzkirchner market town council has now initiated for November 20, 2022, the concern of getting under the wheels is growing again, even among the smaller neighbors.

Third mayor Andrea Anderssohn (Greens) brought the matter up at the meeting on Tuesday evening: "There is no Holzkirchner southern bypass without expanding the B 318," she warned in the Warngau municipal council.

"It's important to me that the voters know that our citizens are also involved." Her parliamentary colleague Michael Spannring agreed with her.

"It wouldn't be bad if we made our opinion known so that the citizens of Holzkirch could know that and include it in their decision-making process," he appealed.

A later involvement of the community in a possible designation procedure for a Holzkirchner southern bypass would have little chance, Spannring feared.

Leonhard Obermüller (CSU) asked to draw up a draft for a statement.

Debate scheduled for next session

The appeals fell on fertile ground for Mayor Klaus Thurnhuber (FWG): He agreed to put the statement on the agenda for the October meeting.

"The justification," he dared to prophesy, "will be similar to what it was before."
