RTL throws Marco Schreyl out: Laura Wontorra moderates the new DSDS season

Flying change at DSDS: Not only the jury around Dieter Bohlen was recast, Marco Schreyl will no longer take over the moderation in the farewell season.
RTL has now announced Laura Wontorra as the successor.
Cologne – For the last “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” season, RTL has turned the personnel carousel again: After the Cologne broadcaster had already reassigned the jury, it has now been announced that Laura Wontorra will replace long-time presenter Marco Schreyl.

One last time, Dieter Bohlen and his colleagues go in search of Germany's next superstar.
The new jury is already in action for the upcoming castings, in particular the commitment of singer and rapper Katja Krasavice as a DSDS juror has recently caused a lot of discussion.
For the last season, “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” will have a new presenter in Laura Wontorra.

But other changes are also causing a stir: Marco Schreyl, who worked for the RTL casting format from 2005 to 2012 and most recently again in 2022, will no longer moderate the live shows.
The 48-year-old is replaced by TV presenter Laura Wontorra, who has already presented shows such as “Die RTL Wasserspiele” (2022) or “Ninja Warrior Germany” (since 2016) for the Cologne station.

Hardly any television presenter has proven her versatility in recent years as consistently as Laura Wontorra: The 33-year-old has already presented herself with cooking ("Grill den Henssler"), playing ("Ninja Warrior Germany", "The King of the Children's Heads" ) and entertainment shows ("The Ehrlich Brothers present: Showdown of the world's best magicians"), is also a Bundesliga expert for the DAZN streaming service.
Now she can go to DSDS – and will also be up to this task!

It will be seen in the coming year at the latest whether the staff is set up to herald the end of the cult format in a worthy manner.
However, the new cast is already causing confusion and ridicule: ProSieben legend Elton recently teased new DSDS juror Katja Krasavice.
