The Russian forces, in cooperation with the forces of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, thwarted the landing of Ukrainian forces from the Black Sea towards the territory of Kherson Province.
"This morning, the Ukrainian landing forces tried to penetrate the territory of the Kinburnskaya Kosa region from the Black Sea and enter Kherson, but the attack was repelled and the attacking Nazis were liquidated," the RIA Novosti news agency quoted the deputy head of the military and civil administration of the district Kirill Strimosov as saying.
Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its fighters had shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter with a sabotage and reconnaissance group on board near Kinpornskaya Kosa.
