In a funeral procession, accompanied by the British royal family, military, fanfares and the applause of the waiting crowd, the coffin of the monarch was transferred to Westminster Hall, the seat of the British Parliament.

With serious expressions of sadness, the Queen's four children, King Charles III. (73), Princess Anne (72), Prince Andrew (62) and Prince Edward (58) and their grandchildren Prince William (40), Prince Harry (37) and Peter Phillips (44) at the procession.
Together they followed the coffin of their beloved mother and grandmother.

At 2:22 p.m. local time, the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II left Buckingham Palace, accompanied by the British royal family.

In the next few days, the British will be able to say goodbye to their longtime leader in Westminster Hall.
The official mourning period ends on September 19 when Queen Elizabeth's funeral is held at Westminster Abbey.
