"Rosenheim Cops" surprise: Two new commissioners determine

In the new season of the ZDF "Rosenheim Cops", two new investigators suddenly appear and represent the tried and tested ones.

They stay for four episodes.

Munich - That was really not to be expected!

In the new season of the ZDF pre-evening hit “Rosenheim-Cops”, everything actually pointed to consistency in terms of personnel.

But now two new investigators are suddenly starting - as early as October 18th.

Although they are not there permanently, they are by no means replacing the existing crowd favorites Stadler, Hansen & Co.

But the new duo determined at least four episodes as a substitute.

Nothing was initially known about the background.

It is quite possible that the makers had to improvise with the actors due to time constraints.

Creativity was required for Marisa "Stockl" Burger for similar reasons.

Who are the two newcomers to the "Rosenheim Cops"?

These are the deputy commissioners Laura Schmidt from Frankfurt and Thomas Schmidt from Nuremberg.

Her first case in the October 18 episode: At the Schafkopf tournament "The 24 Hours of Rosenheim" one of the finalists is killed.

The auxiliary investigators Schmidt & Schmidt get to the bottom of the matter together with police director Gert Achziger (Alexander Duda).

In the subplot, confusion arises in the police station: are Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt related to each other?

Laura Schmidt is played by Marija Kovco.

The actress was born in Starnberg in 1988, lives in Munich and has Croatian roots.

Thomas Schmidt is played by Moritz von Zeddelmann.

The actor was also born in 1988, grew up in Lower Saxony and lives in Hamburg.

Viewers may recognize his face from the film 51 Degrees North or the series Under Crooks and Betty's Diagnosis.

Rosenheim Cops (ZDF): New season starts on October 4th

The 22nd "Rosenheim Cops" season (always on Tuesdays from 7.25 p.m.) starts on October 4th (we reported), with many familiar faces and Alexander Duda's wife.

Just two weeks later, the new investigator duo brings a breath of fresh air.
