Apple AirPods Pro vs. AirPods Pro 2: the main differences
The most important thing first: The new AirPods Pro 2 cost 299 euros at launch.
That's a proud price, but not significantly more expensive compared to the previous model, whose RRP was 279 euros.
However, the AirPods Pro are now available for around 200 euros.

The biggest change is in the controls!
While the Apple AirPods Pro are operated via the pressure sensors, the AirPods Pro 2 now also work via touch control.
The volume can now also be conveniently controlled via the headphones.
With the previous model, this is only possible via the connected end device or via Siri voice control.
With the new AirPods Pro 2, you can swipe up or down.
Advantage 2nd generation!
Another big difference is the built-in chip.
The AirPods Pro 2 have the new H2 chip (in comparison: AirPods Pro with H1 chip).
The new and improved chip provides better sound and longer battery life.
The active noise cancellation (ANC) should also be improved by the H2 chip and now filter out twice as much noise as the predecessor.
Speaking of battery life: According to Apple, the new AirPods Pro 2 should last up to 6 hours without a charging case, which would be an improvement of 1.5 hours.
With the charging case, the headphones even run for 30 hours, which would also be 6 hours more than with the AirPods Pro.
Hard to believe, but the MagSafe charging case of the new AirPods Pro 2 now also has a speaker.
This speaker helps you locate your headphones better if you ever lose them.
A signal is also output if pairing is successful.
There are also innovations in terms of accessories: while the AirPods Pro still come with 3 different silicone tips, the AirPods Pro 2 come in four different sizes.
