Cancellation in Penzberg: Red Cross helper day falls victim to the rain

Penzberg – The weather is too bad: The Penzberg Red Cross canceled the helpers' day on Saturday (September 17) in downtown Penzberg.
In the course of the 100th anniversary of the Penzberg Red Cross, which could not be celebrated in 2021 due to the pandemic, there should actually be a big stage for the helpers on September 17th: The Weilheim-Schongau district association of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK ) wanted to present itself at the helpers' day in the city center with its readiness, specialist services and the Red Cross Youth.
A vehicle blessing on the town square was also planned.
But on Thursday evening the cancellation came in:
The helper's day was canceled due to the bad weather
, the Penzberger BRK announced.
100 years BRK in Penzberg should still be celebrated.
On Saturday (September 24th) there is a festival day.
At 3.15 p.m. there is a line-up for the church procession, at 4 p.m. an ecumenical service in the Christkönigskirche.
At 5 p.m., the procession and wreath-laying ceremony will follow at the memorial.
The festive evening begins at 6.30 p.m. in the town hall.
In addition to greetings, there is a play.
And Honorary Head Ludwig Schmuck is scheduled for the speech.
