Who will succeed Abel Quentin, winner of the 2021 prize for The Seer of Etampes?
Yesterday, Thursday September 15, the jury of the Prix de Flore met to establish its first selection.
He selected nine novels, several of which have already been spotted by the other jurors for the literary season.
There are several first novelists: Anthony Passeron with
Les enfants endormis
(Globe), winner of the Première plume prize, is in the running for the December prize and the Wepler;
Diaty Diallo with
Two Seconds of Burning Air
(Seuil) is present on the Medici;
Laura Poggioli for
Three Sisters
won the Envoyé par la Poste prize.
Note also the presence of the novelist Emma Becker with
L'Inconduite
(Albin Michel) also selected for the Renaudot prize.
A surprise in this list: the filmmaker Bertrand Blier whose novel
Fragile des bronches
(Seghers) was released in January.
The announcement of the winner of the prize, endowed with €6,100 and a glass of Pouilly fumé engraved with the winner's name, will be made on the evening of 10 November.
