With its alleys lined with white houses with colored windows, it has the charm of many of the colonial
pueblos
in the area... Like Salento or Filandia, which have become the darling of Instagrammers under the effect of mass tourism which has imposed itself in Colombia during the of the last decade.

With the difference that in Pijao, no one insistently stalks the tourist so that he enters yet another standardized souvenir shop or an a la carte restaurant with a Western menu.
On Booking, only two hotels appear, although there are actually about fifteen accommodations.
No tourist office either…
