“We are here to wage war on the Empire, but we speak the language of the Empire,”
the recruits declare with a shrug, the irony of the situation not escaping them.

They are all part of the battalion of Belarusian volunteers who fled the dictatorship of Alexander Lukashenko, loyal vassal of Putin who, without the alliance with the Russian president, would have already been overthrown by popular revolt.
To make amends, Belarus allows Russian soldiers to use its roads, railways and bases, from which many air raids and missiles depart towards Ukraine.
There is no official figure, but the battalion of Belarusian volunteers gathered…
