(CNN) --
Broadway's longest-running show, Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera," will run for its last five months before closing for good, a spokesperson for the show told CNN on Friday.
The last performance will be Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Majestic Theater on Broadway, Michael Borowski of the Publicity Office said in an email.
Before the conclusion of the Broadway show, "Phantom" will celebrate its 35th anniversary on Jan. 26 with director Seth Sklar-Heyn at the helm, Borowski said.

Ticket sales have slowed for Broadway shows during the pandemic and "Phantom" has been no exception, dropping from 255,000 weekly attendees in May to about 180,000 in September, according to The Broadway League.
How much money will Broadway lose due to the cancellation of functions due to covid-19?
International productions of the show will continue, Borowski added.
The iconic London production will celebrate its 36th year on October 9 and the recently released Melbourne version will continue as well.
The Mandarin version of Phantom will be released in China in 2023 and a Spanish version with Antonio Banderas has been announced.
