The Ministry of Health announced that the total number of confirmed cases of cholera in Syria reached 201 by rapid testing.
The ministry stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of, that the distribution of injuries is 153 in Aleppo, 21 in Al-Hasakah, 14 in Deir ez-Zor, 10 in Lattakia, 2 in Damascus, and one in Homs.
The ministry indicated that the total number of deaths reached 14 cases, 11 in Aleppo, 2 in Deir ez-Zor and 1 in Al-Hasakah, pointing out that it is conducting around-the-clock epidemiological surveillance of the disease and taking appropriate measures to surround it in cooperation with the concerned authorities.
The Ministry indicated that treatment is available in all its forms, and hospitals have been reinforced and provided with an additional stock of treatment in anticipation of any increase in the number of limited cases so far.
