Twenty-one people, most of them children, were killed when a truck collided with a minibus carrying school students in the northern province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
"The accident occurred when a truck tried to overtake another truck, which directly collided with a minibus carrying children on their way from school, killing 21 people, including 19 children," the South African Emergency Medical Services said in a statement today.
In turn, the Prime Minister's Office indicated to the provincial government that investigations are underway to uncover the causes of this tragic accident as soon as possible.
