Tartous-Sana
The implementation rate of the Tartous port silo rehabilitation project has reached about 80%, while the Tartous University construction project is progressing at a good pace.
The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Suhail Abdel Latif, said during a tour of the silo that the construction works will be fully completed in mid-November, after which the electrical and mechanical works will begin, pointing out the importance of working in the shift system to complete the rehabilitation on time.
At the Tartous University Presidency building, Minister Abdel Latif held a meeting with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, in which they listened to an explanation from the concerned authorities in the Tartous University building project about the percentage of achievement, where they stressed the need for cooperation between the various stakeholders to achieve this important development and educational edifice.
The two ministers toured the site of the project to build the College of Technical Engineering and Arts, where the Minister of Higher Education confirmed in a statement to reporters that work is progressing at a good pace after securing materials and fuel from the governorate, pointing out that the focus will be on implementing the project to build the College of Technical Engineering in the first place, which has an area of 19,000 square meters. followed by the construction of the College of Arts, with an area of 70,000 square meters.
Tartous Governor Abdel Halim Khalil pointed out the importance of continuing to work with the concerned authorities to provide what is needed to complete these important projects on time.
