Retired Catholic Cardinal Chen Rijun, artist Ho Yunshi, and other 6 people related to the 612 Humanitarian Support Fund, involved in the case of failing to apply for registration or exemption from registration as a society within the specified time limit. The trial was originally scheduled to be held in the West Kowloon Court next Monday (19th). It is reported that the case needs to be postponed because the magistrate in charge of the trial, Yan Shunyi, contracted the new crown pneumonia a few days ago.

According to the judiciary, the case has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 21.

The 6 defendants: Chen Rijun, Wu Aiyi, Xu Baoqiang, He Xiulan, Ho Yunshi, and Shi Chengwei, were charged with acting in Hong Kong as "612 Humanitarian Support" from July 16, 2019 to October 31, 2021. The Local Societies Officer of the Fund” failed to comply with Section 5(1) of the Societies Ordinance, Chapter 151 of the Laws of Hong Kong, within the specified time limit.

It was reported that Magistrate Yan Shunyi had to adjourn the trial of the 612 Fund case due to the infection of the new crown pneumonia.
