Schwaig – The municipality of Oberding wants to increase density by changing its development plan in Schwaig Süd.
It dates back to 1967 and 55 years later, with its large plots of land, it no longer quite corresponds to the current housing shortage.
The appearance of the area, which is surrounded by Hochstrasse to the south and east, district road ED 5 to the west and Freisinger Strasse to the north, should not change completely.
The municipality intends a moderate densification.
According to the council decision, the “quiet and high-quality residential area” should be retained.
Semi-detached houses should also be possible on particularly large plots of land.
If the plots of land are suitable in terms of layout and development options, additional residential units are conceivable there.
Existing green structures and trees do not fall victim to the change in the development plan.
The council has now unanimously approved the plan, which will now be open to public participation for a month.
