After a forced two-year break, there is another Tölz "autumn magic" today.

The little brother of the Rose Days takes place from October 1st to 3rd in the Kurhaus and Kurpark.

Bad Tölz – The monk's pepper should be included in the photo, Michaela Dorfmeister thinks that's a good thing.

"It's so important for the bees," explains the passionate hobby gardener, "you've read that a lot this summer."

Together with her events team, Dorfmeister is again organizing the "Tölzer Herbstzauber" in October after a two-year Corona break.

Exhibition, lectures, readings, musical performances and dance

"We were already very happy with the "Rose Days" in early summer and hope to be able to build on that now".

From Saturday, October 1st to Monday, October 3rd, numerous exhibitors will populate the Gabriel-von-Seidl-Kurpark and the Kurhaus, plus lectures, readings, musical performances and dance as well as, for the first time, an extensive children's program in the large tent at the fountain, in where the lectures are to take place.

On Monday there are additional events in the Salettl, such as the introductory course in Argentine tango and the subsequent "Milonga", the dance festival.

Everyone can take part: couples, singles, beginners and experts.

On the stage at the goldfish pond in the back of the park, the "Greilinger Fuiznmusi" plays on Sundays, the "Jazzcafé" on Mondays, or there's Austro-Pop with "Manuel Hafner & Nadjas Cello", who perform both on Sundays and Mondays.

"The public holiday on Monday is very practical for us," says Dorfmeister happily, "people don't have to work and have time".

Visitors can stroll past 131 stands

The open-air exhibition on gardening, handicrafts, art, culture and enjoyment will be opened on Saturday at 11 a.m. by Tölz Mayor Ingo Mehner to the sounds of AlexAziz & Labanda and non-alcoholic cocktails.

Visitors can stroll past, look, browse or get advice at a total of 131 stands.

Of course, plants play a key role in the autumn garden, but culinary delights are by no means neglected.

Spices, delicatessen, chocolate, crêpes, wines and homemade cakes from the Fischbacher Frauenkreis make the approaching winter a little tastier.

By the way, there are also three stands offering food and more for four-legged friends.

"In the interest of the environment, we ask visitors to bring their own bags to save plastic"

It gets very practical with knife sharpening or biological pest control and the Ukraine Aid is waiting with a book market.

A number of exhibitors are also represented in the Kurhaus building: wood art, paper manufacture, dirndl tailoring and the Morgenstern gallery, to name just a few.

"In the interest of the environment, we ask visitors to bring their own bags and thus save plastic," emphasizes Michaela Dorfmeister, "but we also offer our own autumn magic bag made from recycled PET bottles".

Visitors should use public transport if possible

The garden show can be visited on all three days from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission costs seven euros and a season ticket costs 15 euros.

Brita Hohenreiter, director of the Tölzer Tourist Info, appeals to visitors not to come by car if possible, as "the parking situation is quite tense".

All parking spaces at the Kurhaus itself are closed, but parking spaces are available at the community center, on Arzbacher Straße or in the multi-storey car park.

However, it is easier to use the free city shuttle bus, which starts every hour at the train station and which you can board at various points.

All information about this, the exhibition, the providers and the events is available on the Internet at www.rosentage.de.
