Geretsried – With the city council decision last year, the city of Geretsried introduced guidelines for the financial support of Geretsried water sports clubs for the first time.
With this, the city supports the training operations as well as the mass sports of the water sports clubs in the new inter-municipal indoor pool.
After a year, the city is now evaluating the guidelines and adapting them, according to the city's statement.
The adjustments are substantive specifications such as adding a deadline for the submission of applications and a simplified presentation of the funding requirements.
The funding amounts newly determined annually by the main and finance committee will be shown as an appendix in the future.
The changes make it easier for administration and water sports clubs to process sports funding applications.
The revised guidelines were recently approved at the city council meeting and will come into effect on January 1, 2023.

Mayor Michael Müller: "We are in the process of regularly checking whether we can make our funding guidelines even simpler, more transparent and fairer.
I'm sure the clubs appreciate that.
After water sports, we will now also take up other areas.”
