A 22-year-old Iranian woman died during an arrest by the modesty police in Iran, who arrested her due to the country's strict hijab wearing laws.
The case sparked many protests by Iranian citizens on social media and in the streets.
The country's media reported that following the death of the young woman, who was sheltered by Mahsa Amini, the country's president Ebrahim Raisi ordered an investigation to be opened.
The Chastity Police claimed that she fell ill while waiting with other detainees at the station.
"Since transferring her to the car, and also at the station, there has been no physical meeting with her," said the message, which rejected the claims about Amini's beating.
Earlier, the police claimed that Amini suffered a heart attack after being taken to the station, but the young woman's relatives denied that she suffered from such medical problems.

Following the incident, several well-known athletes and artists in the country angrily protested Amini's death on social media.
The reformist politician Mahmoud Sadagi even called on Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to denounce the case as he did in the case of the killing of George Floyd by the American police in 2020.
This case comes after in recent months Iranian human rights activists have urged women to publicly remove their hijabs - a gesture that risks arresting them for not complying with Iran's dress code.
Videos have been seen on social networks, including cases of the police arresting women who did this.
