Artistic paintings in various color techniques, wooden and basalt carvings, and wooden handicrafts included in an art exhibition that opened this evening for the artists of the Shahba Fine Assembly.

The exhibition, which lasts for 10 days, will be attended by 19 artists who combined realistic, expressive and abstract styles in their works and presented topics related to nature, still life and human situations.

The director of the Shahba Fine Assembly, artist Hamid Nofal, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the exhibition is the third of the assembly and comes on the occasion of the opening of its art gallery in the city of Shahba, stressing its importance in highlighting and strengthening the fine culture in society among art connoisseurs.

Artist Ghazi Hamza stated that he participated in five oil paintings, four of them inspired by imagination and one related to the Russian heritage, pointing out the importance of his participation to exchange artistic experiences with the participants and keep pace with the development in the plastic art.

The artist Fadel Amer said that he presented 30 wooden works in which he combined the technique of manual craftsmanship and cutting machines to present them as works of artistic nature as well as usability.

The artist, Raydan El Sehnaoui, pointed out that he combined engraving and burning on wood for six works in equal parts, with topics that simulate man and nature, bring peace to the heart and fill it with positive energy.

The young woman, Hadeel Al-Khatib, found an opportunity to show her latent energy and talent in the exhibition, through a painting that indicates ancient things related to memory.

Aryam Abaza tried, through a charcoal painting of an elderly man, to show his state of optimism and vitality, while the young woman, Iman Amer, said that she presented works in line with her studies at the College of Fine Arts, noting the importance of the exhibition to stimulate her continuity.

The opening of the exhibition was followed by a solo performance with a group of songs, in the presence of a number of interested parties.
