The regional branch of the Russian Federal Border Security Agency announced that over the past 24 hours, more than 16,000 residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics crossed the border into the Rostov region.
And TASS news agency quoted the branch as saying in a statement today: that more than 16 thousand people crossed the checkpoints in the Rostov region, indicating that the relevant authorities worked to organize their affairs.
Thousands of Donbass residents continue to cross the border into Russia to escape the bombing and attacks by Ukrainian forces against civilians.
