The official media in Syria claimed that at least five soldiers from Assad's army were killed tonight (Saturday) in an Israeli attack east and south of the Syrian capital.
Later, the 'Syrian Center for Human Rights' affiliated with the opposition to the Assad regime reported seven dead, including two from the Iranian militias.
The director of the center claimed that the attack was also focused on the A-Sayida Zainab area.
It was also reported that in the same area there are weapons depots, an anti-aircraft system and drones under the supervision of Hezbollah and the Iranian militias.

If indeed the target of the attack was the international airport of Damascus, this is the first attack in the region in at least several weeks, after Iran began transferring the weapons shipments from the airport of the Syrian capital to the one in the city of Aleppo in the north of the country.
