This town in Chiapas celebrates the national holidays by turning Miguel Hidalgo into a saint

In Zinacantan, Chiapas, the national holidays are taken to the field of religiosity.

The celebrations of September 15 begin with the placement of the image of the priest Miguel Hidalgo —the father of the country— on an altar placed in the town hall, where the residents light candles and decorate it with flower arrangements.
