The Viennese YouTuber Mesut Can Eray made a name for himself with a questionable action: In Vienna he insulted women on the open street – because they were dressed too revealingly.

Vienna – If you go to the Oktoberfest this year, you will probably – as every year – see some outfits that make you wonder what the classic traditional costume is, which, by the way, will be very trendy again at the Oktoberfest in 2022 has to do.

Away from the Theresienwiese, however, in Germany and throughout Europe, to put it simply: everyone can wear what they want.

And even if the other person's wardrobe doesn't match personal taste, the old adage "De Gustibus non est Disputandum" (Latin: Don't argue about taste) remains true.

The YouTuber Mesut Can Eray probably sees it differently, because in Vienna he filmed and insulted passers-by who, in his eyes, were too revealing.

YouTuber attacks passers-by in Vienna – those affected are often clueless

"How old were you when you lost your virginity?", "What color are your underpants?" and the evergreen question about the last sexual intercourse - apart from isolated videos on cultural topics, these are the contents that the Viennese Mesut Can Eray usually covered on his YouTube channel.

He interviews girls and women, for example in downtown Vienna, and films the conversations, including comments in Turkish.

His last clip shows the YouTuber – who is at least very western in terms of clothing – addressing a young passer-by in Austria about her outfit.

This is not particularly veiling – what the Viennese then does is “disgusting”, as District Councilor Muhammed Yüksek from the SPÖ favorites

puts it, according to the

Kurier .

Without the woman understanding what the young man is saying, he gives her a clearly agitated lecture in Turkish.

In it he insults the woman.

"Do you see what I see too?

Look at you.

Are you not ashamed?

Here are families!

Because of you, I'm unclean now,"

translates the Viennese, who symbolically knocks dirt off his clothes at the end of the video.

YouTuber insults women: police reluctant – Viennese politicians clearly: “I will report you personally at the first opportunity”

This and other clips with derogatory and sexist remarks are now generating a lot of echo, as Twitter users have now reported the YouTuber to the police.

However, their reaction is muted.

The

courier

was informed that the recordings had been "sent to the relevant departments for information".

However, “criminal procedural investigations” would not be conducted “due to the lack of criminal conduct”.

A request from

is said to have brought in the answer from the police: “The officers at Stephansplatz were asked to keep their eyes open.

Victims may file private charges."

Mesut Can Eray, who in his latest video is fueling rumors of an allegedly intended “deportation to Turkey”, is, however, facing significant opposition on social media.

"No one has the right to dictate what women should wear or what lifestyle they should lead," the

Courier related

according to the Viennese district councilor Yüksek position.

Mesut Can Eray has believed for years that he can live out his sexual fantasies on the street and molest minors, the politician said on the social media platform TikTok.

Such behavior "has no place in Vienna," said Yüksek decisively.

In his video message, he also addressed the YouTuber directly.

He follows his activities online and warns if there are no consequences of the clip in question: "I will report you personally at the first opportunity."
