The authorities of the Zaporozhye region revealed that the Ukrainian forces continue to bombard the city of Energodar to isolate the nuclear plant from the power system in the region.
"The fighters of the Kyiv regime are deliberately attacking thermal power plants and energy infrastructure in order to destroy them and isolate the nuclear plant from the liberated part of the Zaporozhye region," noting that after the Kyiv authorities destroyed power lines, RIA Novosti news agency quoted a member of the Main Council of the Zaporozhye Administration as saying. which feeds the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and the last sixth power unit has been shut down. The plant has been converted to power from diesel generators.”
Last week, the Kyiv authorities disrupted the power lines feeding the plant and blocked the flow of energy generated there, as a result of which the last working power units were moved to a cold shutdown mode.
