Actually, they were supposed to appear in 2020, but Corona destroyed all plans: finally the concert for the 1000-year celebration in Reichersbeuern with the "Faaschtbänklern" took place.

Despite the rain it was a great success, also for the other bands.

Reichersbeuern – Despite the repeated rain, around 2300 visitors were totally enthusiastic at the open air on the sports field on Friday.

Absolute highlight: the guest performance of the "Fäaschtbänkler" from Kriessern in Switzerland.

Their appearance was actually planned for the 1000th anniversary of Reichersbeuern in 2020, but was postponed twice by a year due to Corona.

Now - again twelve months later at the third attempt - the event could finally take place.

Visitors were prepared for the rain

Local associations had organized and prepared everything very well.

"5 Shades of Grey", Roland Hefter and "Brass da la Vista" ensured a good mood in advance.

However, a large part of the audience had already brought them with them.

There was a good mood on the festival grounds right from the start.

The slightly falling temperatures and repeated changes from drizzle to pouring rain could not change that.

Those who came had equipped themselves with appropriate protective clothing.

Everyone sings enthusiastically

And then the mood barometer went up again around 10 p.m.

From the very first minute, Marco Graber, Roman Pizio, Michael Hutter, Roman Wüthrich and Andreas Frei – known as “Fäaschtbänkler” for short – got their fan community going.

And at the latest when "Helene" was heard as the third song in the program sequence, the voices joined in: "You're fantastic, you're bombastic, you make me breathless." Both old and young were confident in their lyrics.

Twelve-year-old Stefan from Bichl was convinced that he knew at least half of the songs.

The quintet of the Confederates not only consists of gifted musicians, cool hit writers and atmospheric entertainers.

With their unusual folk music-like instrumentation, they played an incomparable pop sound and were quite down-to-earth.

Bad luck with the confetti cannon

After further "Faaschtbänkler" hits like "26 Genres", "Konfetti" and "Tina tanzt" the main actors suddenly disappeared from the stage.

No early end of the concert, rather the band went under the audience and really heated up the action on a small platform.

"Stars to touch in the pouring rain," said a completely enthusiastic visitor from Tegernsee, clapping and jumping just a few meters away from the idols.

Then it was back to the original place.

But not to end the evening quietly.

It was full throttle again.

For example, with the successful titles "Can You English Please" or "Humpa, Humpa" and the invitation to the party guests "Raise your hands, weekend".

Participated immediately.

"Great," said a guest from Lenggries about the final.

In addition to the "Faaschtbänkler" sound, there was a convincing demonstration of what is possible with light effects.

Only the confetti cannon didn't play along.

The load had gotten wet from the rain and had become stuck.

This had no influence on the visitors' judgment.

"Beary" and "fantastic" were just a few of the superlative judgments of the visitors.

And then it was off to a marquee, where "Pink Elephant" picked up the instruments and numerous party-goers raised their glasses on a somewhat damp, but nevertheless wonderful summer evening.
