There was a power outage in the Freising district.
The reason for this was a defect in the Pfrombach power plant.
The fire brigade prevented worse.
Moosburg
– Short-term power outages occurred on Friday evening in the eastern district of Freising.
According to the Moosburg police, the reason for this was a technical defect in the power plant in Pfrombach.
Around 5:30 p.m., this led to deflagrations and smaller sources of fire both at a switchgear in the building and at a power pole in the immediate vicinity of the power plant.
"As a result, not only the facilities themselves were damaged, but the building was also affected," reports the police.
“Some households in the district” would have had to live with power outages for a short time.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
Eight firefighters from the Buch am Erlbach fire brigade extinguished the fire on the mast.
Nine firefighters from Pfrombach-Aich ventilated the smoky interior of the power plant.
They made sure that more damage could be avoided.
According to PI Moosburg, the total damage is currently estimated at "at least a five-digit amount".
